Serial Numbers
Kamaka ukuleles have been made since 1916. If you are fortunate enough to have inherited an older model, you may be curious about when it was made. From 1916 to 1975, date stamping was used on the interiors of the instruments. Beginning in 1999, Kamaka Hawaii began using serial numbers. If the numbers have worn off, or your ukulele may be made from 1975 to 1999, you will need to look for other clues to determine when your Kamaka ukulele was made. See Dating Your Uke to learn more.
Limited Warranty
Kamaka Hawaii, Inc. provides a one-year, limited warranty for every new Kamaka ukulele that covers instrument construction-related issues and excludes any issues that arise from user wear and tear (damage related to normal use of the instrument), damage that occurs during instrument transport, or improper instrument storage.
Upon purchasing your new Kamaka ukulele, you will be provided with an Owner Registration card. We encourage you to complete the card and mail it back to the Kamaka Hawaii factory to be included in our warranty database. Although filling out and returning an Owner Registration card is not a condition of the warranty, this information can help to confirm your identity as the original purchaser and expedite the warranty process. You may also Register Your Ukulele online via the Kamaka Hawaii website.
The Kamaka Hawaii, Inc. limited warranty is not transferable from the original owner to a subsequent owner. If your ukulele has an issue you believe is covered under warranty, please contact your dealer who will assist you with repair inquiries and initiate the warranty process. The warranty card or online registration must bear the name of the original authorized dealer in order to be valid.
